Curator's Note: This wave is in full, forcefully motion, and Arun captures the tidal pull as well as the light ocean mist.

The wave is a recurring phenomenon that is paradoxically, never repeated, and therefore never gets old. While the immediate impression is of motion, this wave is purely a study of light - the pure whites are the crests and areas where light is unobstructed; the dark grays are the hollows formed by the wave's curvature, where light doesn't reach, and the lighter grays and off whites are shadows cast by water and foam. I'm fortunate to live on the CA coast and spend as much time as possible near water and enjoy photographing and studying waves in action.

Thanks for visiting my Vango page! SOME RECENT FEEDBACK from Vango collectors: Just got my painting and I am so so so so in love!!! I must see more of your collections!!! Sam... "I was drawn to just about everything you had for sale on Vango! On a budget, I was able to purchase 'About Face' and so thrilled. My husband and I traveled to India about 16 years ago and have a close Indian friend. I was happy to find a figurative abstract painting that is inspired by India. Thank you for your talent and we will treasure having 'About Face' in our house. " Carmen "I love it Arun!! Thank you so much...once I get it framed and in place, I will share it with you.
