This was a picture born out of a picture of an acquaintance as the model. The idea is part of a new series of painting continuing the exploration of natural elements fused with human portraits. This time using the aurora borealis to convey the changing feelings of human nature.
I am primarily a self taught artist, drawing as long as I could remember, which really isn't saying much. For the most part the only formal or what I consider formal training I've had was my last two of high school, and my years at school going to San Antonio College. Being part of the Graphic and Fine Arts program really just help me develop everything a little more. After school, I pretty much went back to basics and did everything in my sketch books. Eventually I picked up airbrushing again and started adding in watercolor and have been doing it since then.
