I created this piece after a walk over the Brooklyn Bridge in New York one glorious evening. I lived in NY for ten years, its a city that I consider home.
My name is Lisa Ryan. I trained as a sculptor in Ireland and qualified in 1998 with a first class honors bachelors degree. I moved to NY after I qualified and resumed painting. My work is made up of realism and abstract oil on canvas and mixed media. I have had many exhibitions in Ireland, here in NY and I do a lot of work for resturants and private collectors.” I now live in Washington DC. I started getting commissions to create artwork for new bars opening around the city. You’ll find examples of the artist’s work in many Manhattan haunts including: Fontana’s 105 Eldridge St, NY 10002 (212) 334-6740 “A 3-part rockabilly bar, it gives Lower East Siders some room to breathe.
