Amy Smith is a Los Angeles based mixed media contemporary artist utilizing empowering phrases and imagery to ignite conversation. Smith created a series of collections experimenting with vibrant colors and bold cityscapes combining acrylic, collage, and screen-printing on wood producing the series “Art By ColorScape.”
Amy finds inspiration from cultural representations; painters like Van Gogh, Hip-Hop Culture, Street Art and architecture. Smith’s mixed media collages have been shown at Artspace Warehouse, The Hive Gallery and been part of auctions such as revered Julien’s Auctions. Her first solo-exhibit was at The Gabba Gallery last January, she will be part of their highly anticipated upcoming group show Cratedigger: The Lost Art Of The Album Cover opening Saturday, August 20th.
Amy Smith is currently exhibiting at Wallspace La is the first artist to be asked to partner with Westfield Culver City Mall launching their first ever public art gallery. Smith creates beautiful one-of-a-kind mixed media collage paintings inspired by fashion, street art, and social justice; as well as original urban landscapes inspired by her travel and city living.
