In Washington during the springtime the clouds like to tease and taunt. They go from soothing and light and fluffy, to stormy and terrifying in a manner of minutes. This piece uses monochromatic violet to depict clouds in the midst of change. The horizontal lines give an intersecting juxtaposition of calm and angst. Life tends to come in spurts this way. Things may be calm and peaceful now but could turn at any moment and it is the way we decide to respond that affects what these changes mean for us.
