Ready to Hang

This painting was inspired by the mind travel experiences that take one far away time-wise and space-wise. In order to proceed, one has to park the body somewhere safe, bend the vision and feelings into the correct angle and wait for the great escape trip that will bring a grand experience that cannot be replicated on this Earth. The beauty of these dreamy trips is the deep feeling of total freedom and love for the big and wise Universe and everything that exist in it. No need to buy tickets, bring a dictionary, or get searched at the airport, just set the destination, close your eyes and roll-forward.

Anita Zotkina was born in Odessa, USSR in 1971. She was introduced to art by her parents who were art-lovers, and who provided art supplies and encouraged her to paint at a very young age. She became a full time artist when she was 18. Her paintings were sold at the Odessa City Garden as well as various galleries. At the age of 27 she immigrated to New England, US and where she continued her artistic career. Anita doesn’t focus on one subject or on one medium. Things come in waves for her, and her art expresses stages of her inner world. She never knows what she will believe tomorrow and what will be her next venture.
