Inspired by the feminine fashion girl and her whimsical surroundings, as well as the technology that empowers her.
Angela Haddad is the Virtual Reality artist behind VR art studio One Third Blue. She is a true Californian with a knack for frequently moving between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Her work is largely inspired by the feminine fashion girl and her whimsical surroundings, as well as the technology that empowers her to create the pieces. Angela's background in creating virtual reality experiences inspired her to have the watercolor art live and breathe in the virtual world. With that came the desire to maintain an authentic, imperfect, hand-painted watercolor visual within Virtual Reality (a medium heavily saturated with 3D renders) while enhancing analog, 2D watercolor art with an unexpected technology. As time progressed, she gravitated towards the idea of creating these authentic, imperfect watercolor brushstrokes within VR. In both cases, whether the work is created watercolor-first or VR-first, Angela's process incorporates both intuition and intellect, and both design and art.
