Nawlins is a mixed media on canvas. The painted has some textured. It was created based on a conversation I had with someone who lived in New Orleans. After that conversation, my curiosity was sparked about the culture and activities New Orleans has. I wanted this painting to create a feeling of New Orleans even for people who have never visited the state. This painting was created using acrylic, acrylic markers, ink, and wood.
The painting is sold unframed, but the sides are painted for easy display. The painting is also signed by the artist.
My name is Angela R. Green. I am a visual artist and graphic designer. I attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff where I studied art under the leadership of Henri Linton, Sr. My artistic process of monotone abstract figures and shapes began at a young age. Today, my art is characterized by vibrant colors, shapes, and values. My subject matter is diverse and is often inspired by everyday objects found in my community. The process I use to create my work is often spontaneous. I like to experiment with different mediums and materials to create unique works of art. I have exhibited my work in group and solo art shows. I recently had a solo art show “ Essence of Jazz” in October 2015. In 2014, my artwork was selected as “Best of Show” by the ACANSA Arts Festival. My artwork is in many private collections throughout the U.S. and the Netherlands. My work is also part of a private collection at the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. angelargreen.com
