Metamorphosis I is a mixed media on heavy weight acid-free paper.
Metamorphosis involves a change of physical form or a striking alteration in appearance or character. So, I wanted to create a painting that would exhibit changes and alterations to the face of the lady. I added butterflies because they actually go through a transformation or metamorphosis process.

I used watercolor and acrylic markers. I added a clear gel mixture to create a some texture and raised surface. This painting will need a frame.

My name is Angela R. Green. I am a visual artist and graphic designer. I attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff where I studied art under the leadership of Henri Linton, Sr. My artistic process of monotone abstract figures and shapes began at a young age. Today, my art is characterized by vibrant colors, shapes, and values. My subject matter is diverse and is often inspired by everyday objects found in my community. The process I use to create my work is often spontaneous. I like to experiment with different mediums and materials to create unique works of art. I have exhibited my work in group and solo art shows. I recently had a solo art show “ Essence of Jazz” in October 2015. In 2014, my artwork was selected as “Best of Show” by the ACANSA Arts Festival. My artwork is in many private collections throughout the U.S. and the Netherlands. My work is also part of a private collection at the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. angelargreen.com
