Ready to Hang
A large, abstract oil painting inspired by mood rather an imagery. The mood is one of lightness and dreaminess; the kind of feeling one has on a relaxing summer day.
Paint has been applied in layers of oil with a palette knife and thick brushes. Visible brush strokes add dynamism and movement to the painting.
The canvas has been painted in complimentary colours. It can hang on its own on a wall or can be framed depending on preference.
Hooks and wire are attached; the canvas is ready for hanging.
Please note that the photo of the painting in a home interior setting is for demonstration pur
Discovering that I love painting in my 30s was quite a surprise to me - I always thought of myself as a writer not a painter. Now I can't stop painting; I always have several ideas in my head for the next piece and am impatient to get on with it. I am curious by nature, always ready to further explore new ideas and impressions. I originally studied literature in London (BA Honours) and then in Oxford (MSt European Literature). Later I also completed a Masters in Counselling. Both fiction and psychotherapy influence my artistic work through the stories and unconscious processes revealing themselves layer by layer. My work has been sold to art collectors internationally with many returning customers. My work is regularly exhibited at local galleries and art fairs in London.
