When I made this piece I had my mind around the idea of how a kingdom used to work, mainly the palace. So I used the gold around to illustrate the money and power, but you can see that greens, blacks and reds invade the middle of the painting, Red represent the blood, the suffering. Green the ignorance and black the "forced power". Silver is the "fog" that surrounds the incredible idea of being in the palace.

My artwork process is all about vulnerability. Whether is a photography or an acrylic painting, I am transcribing all that’s inside of me. All my feelings go into what I call “my art”. And I will tell you this: nothing scares me more than showcasing all my work, as by doing that, I feel like a transparent fragile crystal.

My name is Andressa Toni. I am a marketing specialist, web designer, graphic designer, photographer, and artist. Overall, I am a thinker, and I am passionate and dedicated to everything I do. I grew up in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and graduated in 2010 with a BA in Marketing and Advertisement from the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. I have been working in the fields of marketing, branding and design since my first year of college. After finishing with my degree, I decided to move to the United States in the hopes of pursuing the American dream. It was a career move that has now substantially changed my life. I am happy to have found a place to call home, and am proud to have been living and working here in Houston, Texas since 2011.
