This series is my celebrity wpap portraits. Normally wpap is reserved for digital art and due to the complexity I can understand why! It can change a whole painting to have one of the lines off by a millimeter. This art takes a lot of planning and time, but I love the colorful abstract portraiture created by the lines and shapes. It is my way of seeing the world and the people in it. I chose Slash because Guns N Roses was one of my favorite bands growing up. I loved watching him play in their music videos and wanted to pay tribute to the rock and roll of my youth.
I work with primarily acrylics, preferring to use my hands more often than brushes to convey my emotions onto canvas when the style permits. My style is best described as abstract art with pop art influences. I use a variety of mediums, products, and techniques to provide one of a kind and unique artwork that often has dimensional depth. I am rapidly approaching 40 years old, am married, a mother of two, and live in the Dallas area. I have been featured in several Dallas art shows, done charity art for a Dallas Cowboys player's homeless initiative, and was recognized in the 2016 Art for Dumpsters contest in Dallas. My art and graphic designs are featured on sites like Amazonand Fine Art America and many more. I was also a featured artist at RAWartists.org "Reveal" and in the Chocolate and Art Show in Dallas. I also was invited to present art at the inaugural Art event at Spaces in Uptown in Dallas. In my spare time I kayak, paint of course, and build websites.
