My work is emotionally driven. I use oil or acrylic mediaon canvas, wood, paper etc. I like to make raw statements. Even though I extensively collect and record different ideas, when I start a new piece of art, my approach is very instinctive. I believe exposure itself has a very deep impact on the subconscious. I follow whatever drives me at the moment and along the way I start to see meaning and subjects unveiling in the work.
I grew up in Rome where I was exposed to classical art since early age. In the early eighties, I moved to the US and I became deeply influenced by American art and culture. After over twenty years in the US, nine years ago I moved to India where I now live and work. My main interest is humanity. My work is mainly abstract because it lexically conveys emotional and unrestrained phycological states, which would be otherwise deprived of their beauty and flow. Figure related elements though may appear in my work. Through this process, I represent a multitude of experiences by giving different aspects of the human condition. I have been Living and teaching art in West Bengal India for the past nine years.
