Ready to Hang
This composition began with the draping of tulle and laying down of lace, hardened and melded to the canvas. The sky came from a lovely afternoon in Colorado, the textures then were also inspired by the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, just in a more surreal fashion. I love that juxtaposition with the realistic sky.
Tulsa is my home. I've been painting for decades, and am active in the rapidly growing arts community here. I am the director of the gallery at our local Equality center, OkEq. Hanging a show is almost as fulfilling as creating my own work. I have a big complicated loving family, One big dog and one small cat.
