“Paper is my medium of choice, 22” by 30” is my module, and black is my color of choice. Perfect balance is my goal.” I enjoy creating abstract and minimal art.
Hello, thanks for visiting my portfolio. I'm Alan Rubin. I earned a BFA in graphics from Pratt Institute, in New York, an MFA in Printmaking from Cranbrook Academy of Art, in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, an MLA in Landscape Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and a National Endowment for the Arts apprenticeship grant in paper making to study under Douglass Morse Howell of Long Island, NY. I've spent my career applying the principles of clarity and contrast to a variety of projects both artistic and practical. After a 30 year career in city planning and project management, I've returned to my studio. I hope you enjoy my work.
