Ready to Hang
I switched to oil paints at the start of 2017. After working with acrylics for almost 4 years, I felt it was time for a shift in my pursuit to express myself creatively. I had never worked with oils before. This was the start to something very important and personal. I realized right away, the amount of discipline and patience that was required with this new medium. This image represents the fire within one being, who had at last discovered how much more they could nurture their creativity, and finally arrive in a land of maturity.
I am a 37 y.o. chef living in Providence, RI with my wife and our kitty Gaby. I was raised by my parents for the first 23 years of my life in Meriden, CT. I also moonlight as a singer-songwriter when I can. I practice Nicheren Buddhism & hope that the day arrives when I can put down my chef's knives & don my palette knives for the rest of my existence within this universe.
